Words cannot describe the joy I experience every time I visit Lake Powell - so I'll let these pictures do the talking...
What a wonderful break from busy lives we all lead and a way for the soul to rejuvenate - aside from the lost cell phone... that's not very rejuvenating. It's probably on its way to the bottom of the lake...
The people and the laughs, the views and the sunrises, the HOUSEBOAT with a HOT TUB on top!, and the relaxation in such a gorgeous and unique place make these trips some of my favorites...
Okay, I am a little jealous. But then again I did get to grow up with Grandpa's houseboat for a while. And I have just enough memories about it u am certain that Lake Powell is one of the best places in the world. I have it on the list of things I want to do with the kids before they grow up, I have got a little time to make it happen.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely take the kids! The first time I went I think I was Ben's age (10?). I went with a friend and we just camped on the beach and I loved it. On this trip there were 6 kids and they were constantly in the water or wanting to be in the water - never bored. It was nice that we had 8 adults to keep an eye on all the little ones though! You definitely need to make it happen soon!
